So many engineering programs expect you to be taking 18 credit hours per semester in order to graduate in 4 years. I just wanna say that 12 hours is full time and there is nothing wrong with that. If you're set on dropping out/switching majors, I understand, but maybe try taking some pressure off before making that decision.
