At least it has two stars on the barrel. I have patterned this gun with lead #6 and #7 1/2 at 40 yds. from a bench. The patterns run about 38% or cylinder bore.Browning A5 20ga Stock problem. When the gun fires, the bolt and barrel recoil aft and the white and blue shells follow. They don't go far because when the barrel moved out of battery the Cartridge Stop moved into White's path. Make sure you fully compress the barrel into the action when tightening your magazine cap. It should be tight, if not you risk cracking the forearm. Last thing, don't try and take the gun any further apart.

Remove the forearm and look in the forearm to see if there is a picture of how the rings are supposed to go. I think there is a sticky on the Browning lovers forum about this. I had no installation problems, and the fit was the same as before. However, I would recommend looking for where the forearm is going to brush against the barrel as it recoils.

Set the single ring down by your reciever on the mag tube. keep the wide one with the bronze bushing up by your mag tube cap. That is how you set up for light loads. Both rings up front for heavy Slug/buck loads with the 2 piece on top and the single on bottom. Aug 3, 2009. #4.
