2012 ford f150 door ajar switch location.
At first it was intermittent now its stuck on. Took fuse out to turn off lights but want to repair. The problem is obviously the switch on the door, but I have no idea where they are located. They arent the typical switches I am used to seeing. Are they located inside the door itself?

It's been a while since I replaced one of the interior light door jamb switches on my former 79 F-100 and haven't had to replace them on my 77 F-150. After looking at your picture, if you don't already have the switch disconnected from the wiring pigtail. Clean it with a parts brush, compressed air and some electrical contact cleaner.

Remove this fuse and reinsert it in the reverse direction. 4. Close the hood of your truck and test the door ajar chime to see if it’s been disabled. The door ajar switch is located at the bottom Door latch and door ajar switch at bottom of the door latch. It's a really stupid location because dirt and grease that falls into the latch can really much up the pin switch. The body control module sends power to the door ajar switch on the green/violet wire.
